Where do I get the Connections.csv file?

In LinkedIn: Settings & Privacy → Data privacy → Get a copy of your data → pick “Connections” → Request archive. LinkedIn emails you a download link, usually within ten minutes. Unzip it and you'll find Connections.csv.

Do I need an account here?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no sign-up, no password and no email capture anywhere in the product. You open the page, drop the file, and the dashboard renders.

Is my file uploaded to a server?

No. The file is read by JavaScript running in your browser tab using the File API. Nothing is transmitted — there is no endpoint on our side that accepts contact data.

What if the columns look different?

LinkedIn writes three notice lines before the header row, so we skip them and then match the header names: First Name, Last Name, URL, Email Address, Company, Position, Connected On. Extra columns are ignored, and several date formats (including “10 Jan 2024”) are understood. If the header can't be found, you'll get a plain-language error instead of a broken screen.

Why are some contacts missing emails?

LinkedIn only includes an email address when that person allowed their connections to see it. That's why reachability also counts recency: anyone added in the last four years counts as reachable even without an email on file.

How is the priority score calculated?

Three inputs, blended into 0–100: authority from the seniority classification, industry fit against the sectors your network is strongest in, and recency of the connection. It's a ranking aid, not a verdict on a person.

Are locations real?

LinkedIn's export doesn't include location, so locations are inferred from well-known company headquarters. Treat them as a hint for sorting, not as fact.

Does the AI chat see my contacts?

Accepted Answer

It sees an aggregate digest — counts by seniority, industry and freshness — plus your question. Individual names, emails and profile URLs are not included in what gets sent.

How do I delete everything?

Use “Clear my data” in the dashboard. It wipes the stored dataset from your browser instantly. Clearing site data in your browser settings does the same thing.

Will my dashboard be there tomorrow?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on the same browser and device — the parsed dataset is kept in localStorage. On a different device you'll need to drop the CSV again, which takes seconds.
